I had an IT guy tell me that he’d rather I use Internet Explorer than Firefox because Firefox’s plug-ins “are a pain to update.” He also didn’t believe me that Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader were two different applications. Ugh.
Interesting, Emily. Too often, IT decisions are based upon what’s convenient for the IT guys rather than on what’s needed to increase productivity for those of us who are trying get some work done. Frustrating!
